Africa’s Best Safari, Just for Women – Hosted by Evelyn Weskob - July 2026

Limited to six women only. Explore Africa’s most extraordinary wild places with an expert host and a purpose-driven itinerary.
Seventeen Days. Six Extraordinary Camps. One Life-Changing Journey.
Travel with a small group of like-minded women on a carefully curated journey through Botswana, Victoria Falls, and Kenya, staying at properties consistently ranked among Africa’s best safari experiences.
Your host, Evelyn Weskob, is a historian, teacher, and long-time safari insider who brings a rare depth of knowledge and warmth to the journey.
Meet Your Host – Evelyn Weskob
Evelyn brings a rare combination of lived experience, academic depth, and warm-hearted hospitality to this journey.
Having lived in Botswana for over two decades, Evelyn knows the rhythms, landscapes, and people of Africa in a way that few outsiders ever do. She ran a successful tourism business in Maun, built close relationships with local guides and lodge owners, and raised her children on the edge of the Okavango Delta.
Professionally, Evelyn is also a qualified historian and teacher. Her love of storytelling and cultural context adds richness to every moment — whether you’re watching elephants cross a floodplain or sipping gin and tonic by the fire. She doesn’t “guide” the safari in a formal sense, but she gently supports the group at every step, bringing insight and connection wherever you go.
Guests often describe travelling with Evelyn as “the difference between a great trip and a truly meaningful one.” Her presence elevates this journey into something rare: a safari with heart, wisdom, and deep personal care.
This itinerary is deeply immersive and personally enriching — a chance to slow down, connect, and experience the wild in the company of women who travel with curiosity and care.
And by travelling this way, you’re also giving back: each guest contributes US$2,100 directly to the Great Plains Foundation and Kenya Wildlife Service, supporting conservation and community programs across the regions you’ll explore.
Provisional reservations close 18 July 2025.

Most exciting thing I have ever done
Just fantastic! We had such fun, truly the most exciting thing I have ever done. Neville meticulously planned the perfect trip for us. From start to finish everything was thought of. He was always in the background, smoothing the way. An unanticipated flight change? No bother — all taken care of.
We were met by a driver at every airport. The accommodation provided was excellent. Everywhere we stayed we were treated with such warmth and generosity.
The wildlife did their bit too — lions, herds of elephants, cheetahs, leopards in trees, wildebeest and their zebra companions. We learnt so much from our guides and left feeling inspired.
I can't wait to go back.

Itinerary
05JUL - 07JUL
Duba Explorers CampMost guests will arrive into Maun on a morning flight from Johannesburg, where we will assist you in selecting the correct international connections. After clearing customs, you’ll be met airside and escorted to your light aircraft transfer. The journey into the Okavango Delta is unforgettable — a bird’s-eye view of one of Africa’s most spectacular wildernesses.
Landing at the remote Omdop Airstrip, you’ll be met by your guide for the short game-drive transfer to Duba Explorers Camp. Set under a canopy of mature trees on a private island, the camp is nestled in the northeast of the Duba concession — an area rich with seasonal floodplains and prolific wildlife.
Evelyn Weskob, your host for the journey, will welcome you and introduce the rhythm of the days ahead. Tonight, gather around the fire, listen to the frogs and nightjars, and let the stillness of the wild wash over you.
08JUL - 10JUL
Zarafa CampThis morning, you’ll leave Duba Explorers by light aircraft and fly northeast across the Okavango to the Selinda Reserve — a private 130,000-hectare wilderness linking the Delta and the Chobe River system. It’s a haven for elephants, predators, and rarer species like sable and roan antelope.
Zarafa is Botswana’s first and only Relais & Châteaux property, and one of Africa’s most beautiful camps. Each guest suite opens onto views of Zibadianja Lagoon, with private plunge pools, deep copper baths, and an aesthetic that blends luxury with purpose. There are only four suites here — and you’ll have three of them.
Your days include unhurried game drives, walks, and time to reflect. Evelyn will be on hand to share her deep connection with this region — not just the wildlife stories, but the human and conservation histories that shape the land today.
This is a place to slow down, savour the moment, and let the experience deepen.
11JUL - 12JUL
Victoria Falls HotelThis morning, you depart Zarafa by light aircraft, landing at Kasane Airport in Botswana. From there, you’ll travel overland via a private transfer into Zimbabwe — a scenic journey that brings you to the grand entrance of The Victoria Falls Hotel.
Steeped in colonial history, the hotel is a calm and elegant base for the next two nights. Its shaded courtyards, gracious lawns, and iconic view of the Victoria Falls Bridge are a world away from the bush — but no less captivating. Evelyn, a trained historian, adds richness and local insight to this stop, whether you’re chatting over tea or walking to the Falls together.
You'll have time to explore at your own pace, visit art galleries, or simply enjoy the serenity. Optional activities include a sunset cruise, scenic helicopter flight, or a visit to the Larry Norton and Stone Dynamics Galleries, just a short walk away.
13JUL - 14JUL
Hemingways NairobiToday you'll say goodbye to the thunder of Victoria Falls and transfer to Victoria Falls Airport for your scheduled flight to Nairobi, Kenya via Kenya Airways. After clearing immigration at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll be met by our VIP meet-and-greet service who will fast-track you through customs and escort you to a waiting vehicle.
Your base for the next two nights is Hemingways Nairobi, a refined boutique hotel in the leafy suburb of Karen. With views of the Ngong Hills, spacious suites, and an excellent brasserie, it’s the perfect setting to pause, reset, and enjoy a gentler pace after your time in the bush.
This stop is also a chance to explore the cultural side of Kenya. Evelyn — a trained historian and passionate educator — is particularly in her element here. From the Karen Blixen Museum to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust elephant orphanage, there are optional outings that offer depth, meaning, and humanity.
15JUL - 17JUL
Mara Expedition CampThis morning, you transfer to Wilson Airport and board your scheduled Safarilink flight to the Maasai Mara. You’ll land at Ol Kiombo Airstrip, where your guide will meet you for the game-drive transfer to Mara Expedition Camp — a secluded, classic safari retreat hidden beneath ebony trees near the Ntiakitiak River.
This part of the journey brings you into the heart of the Greater Mara ecosystem — home to the Great Migration and some of the highest densities of big cats in Africa. From here, you have access to both the Mara North Conservancy and the Maasai Mara National Reserve, offering immense variety and flexibility in wildlife viewing.
Mara Expedition Camp is intimate and character-filled, with six explorer-style tents, brass safari showers, and lantern-lit evenings. Evelyn’s depth of knowledge — both ecological and historical — enriches every sighting and every conversation.
This is your chance to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with nature and with yourself.
18JUL - 20JUL
Mara Plains CampA short road transfer today takes you from Mara Expedition Camp to its sister property — the exceptional Mara Plains Camp, located in the private Olare Motorogi Conservancy. This final stop is a culmination of the journey: refined, wild, deeply immersive, and quietly luxurious.
Mara Plains is one of just three Relais & Châteaux properties in Kenya and offers access to over 40,000 hectares of private conservancy land and the adjacent Maasai Mara Reserve. Wildlife densities here are among the highest in Africa — and the exclusivity of the conservancy ensures that your sightings are often private, unhurried, and unforgettable.
Each guest suite is thoughtfully designed with deep canvas canopies, Lamu wood doors, copper bathtubs, and expansive views. At night, Maasai warriors escort you safely to and from your suite — the soundtrack of the wild never far off.
As host, Evelyn will be available to share reflections, facilitate meaningful discussions, or simply ensure everything runs smoothly as your journey draws toward its final days.
21JUL
DepartureAfter a final morning waking to the sounds of the Mara, you’ll enjoy breakfast at Mara Plains Camp before your scheduled light aircraft flight back to Wilson Airport in Nairobi.
Upon arrival, you’ll be met once again by our VIP meet-and-assist team, who will escort you to your private vehicle for the transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Fast-track services are included for immigration and customs, helping you navigate the airport comfortably and efficiently.
While the safari ends today, we hope the friendships formed, memories made, and stories shared stay with you long after wheels-up.
